Our Group Programs
Groups can be beneficial for children in several ways. They can often be a more fun way to work on challenges as they allow children to socialize with peers. It also allows children to see that they are not alone in having these difficulties. Many children also benefit from attending a group to consolidate skills that they have learnt in individual therapy and this allows them to feel that they are ‘being’ promoted.
Groups include the following:
- Finger Fun to improve hand skills
- Gym Time to improve movement and coordination skills
- Typing Time introduces typing skills to children
- Mighty Writers to improve handwriting skills
- PlayTime Play dates is a fun way to improve skills and have fun with friends at the same time!
- The Alert Programme helps children who have attention and focusing challenges and have difficulty with self regulation
- Holiday programs are run in June/July and December
- Friendship Building Groups to improve social awareness skills and social thinking skills
