Marilyn is an occupational therapist who has worked in pediatric settings both overseas and locally. She has worked in Canada in a private practice setting where her role included providing clinic and school based services and organizing and leading therapy camps. Since returning to Singapore, she has continued to work in pediatric settings where she has provided services to a range of children with different diagnoses and issues that impact on their daily functioning. Marilyn strongly believes in carrying therapy over into the child's natural environments and therefore she emphasizes the importance of home and school programmes, providing recommendations and accommodations that support the child in their daily life.
Marilyn continues to undertake professional development and has completed training in areas such as handwriting remediation, neurodevelopmental therapy, sensory processing disorder and oral motor/feeding challenges.
Marilyn is passionate about working with children to help them achieve their highest potential and she strives to use creative and holistic approaches that support this philosophy.
