Muneera is a registered special education teacher in Singapore with more than 7 years of pediatric experience.
She has worked in both mainstream and special education settings. She strongly believes that early intervention makes a significant difference to the child with learning differences and special needs and she creates a nurturing space for these children to develop self esteem and confidence within her classroom. She also believes that family involvement is vitally important in early intervention and advocates strong parent teacher partnerships.
Muneera has worked with children who have various syndromes including with Down syndrome, Apert's Syndrome and Joubert's syndrome, cerebral palsy, developmental coordination disorder, dyspraxia and other developmental delays.
She has undergone training and attended workshops in areas such as the DIR/Floortime approach, neuro-developmental treatment, Brain Gym, the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) and american sign language.
