Hi, I’m Callie Scott, a Speech and Language Therapist from Christchurch, New Zealand. I completed my Bachelor of Speech and Language Therapy at the University of Canterbury New Zealand in 2007 and have called Singapore home since January 2008. Prior to joining Kaleidoscope, I worked in a paediatric clinic and an international school. I am recently returning from maternity leave.
I have experience working with many children, predominantly school aged, with a range of different difficulties and disorders such as Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Dyspraxia, Specific Language Impairment, Auditory Processing Disorders, articulation, phonological awareness and literacy difficulties, receptive and expressive language delays, and working memory difficulties.
I enjoy working as part of a comprehensive team and I am very passionate about working closely with families/carers in order to provide holistic and child-centred support. During my years of experience in Singapore I have developed cross-cultural communication skills with both local and expatriate families. I am dedicated to providing meaningful and fun lessons and empowering children to communicate successfully in all areas of life. This is my daily inspiration and motivation.
