Kate (Katherine) Philip

Hi, my name is Kate and I am a speech and language therapist from the UK.  I studied Post-Graduate Speech and Language Therapy at City University (London) and I have also completed an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Exeter University (UK).

I started my career in London working in a primary school for children with autism spectrum disorder.  I also have clinical experience working in children’s resource centres (under 5’s), special schools for children with complex needs and working within the inpatient team at Great Ormond street hospital in London.  I have experience working with children with a range of communication difficulties, including speech and language delay, phonological delay/disorder and social skills difficulties. I am passionate about working with pre-school children and have been lucky enough to attend a number of early intervention courses.

I moved to Singapore in September 2013 as I wanted a new challenge and a little adventure! I absolutely love living and working here, Kaleidoscope is such a friendly fun place to work with a big emphasis on team work! I believe working collaboratively with both parents and children is paramount to achieving a child’s maximum communicative potential. Empowering parents and celebrating their children’s successes together makes me excited to come to work every day! I very much look forward to working (and having fun) with you and your children.
