Hi there! I am Tamlyn, a physiotherapist from Singapore. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy with Honours from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2014. I became a Developmental Play Practitioner in 2018. And in September 2020, I became a board-certified Neonatal Therapist granted by the Neonatal Therapy National Certification Board. I have a particular interest in prematurity, early intervention, and integrating and embedding gross motor skill learning with play.

Prior to joining the Kaleidoscope family, I was working in a local paediatric hospital for many years where I gained much experience working with infants and children from 0 to 18 years with wide range of gross motor difficulties. I am adept in working with neonates, infants and children with various developmental needs including neurological, global developmental delay and complex medical conditions. I was part of multi-disciplinary team which provided holistic care to premature infants and children who require neurodevelopmental care and rehabilitation. My extensive knowledge has equipped me to provide family-centred care and design creative treatment programmes that engage both children and families.

I am a strong proponent of integrating play in the acquisition of gross motor skills. Being a certified developmental play practitioner, I enjoy the challenge of constantly seeking to probe deeper, know better and do better for the babies, children and their families. As a physiotherapist, I am able to look at movement and motor development from a developmental play point of view − how children are meant to grow and play. Play is not optional or something ‘nice’, it is how growth and development should be!
